CHALLENGE restored

The steam tug CHALLENGE back in Tilbury after extensive refit to bring her back to as she looked as the ” Thames Guard Tug ” in World War II.

I remember that she had difficulty coming alongside as she was deeper in the water with her altered appearance and possible silting up of her berth.

She was built in 1931 for Elliot Steam Tugs.
