The ocean tug TOWING DIAMOND in Tilbury about 2003. She was built in 1973 as the TINOS.

  • In 1991 she became the ANGLIAN SALVOR 
  • In 1995 she became the MASTER MAMMUT 
  • In 1998 she became the TOWING DIAMOND 
  • In 2003 she became the DIAMOND I 
  • In 2005 she became the DIAMOND II 
  • In 2006 she became the LADY ROOSH to 2010

  • This tug has certainly “been around”. It was built in 1973 as AIOLOS and did not get the name TINOS until 1979. I won’t bore you with the finer points of the changes of owner and name over the years … but since September 2010 it has been named FATIMA 1 and is owned and managed by Barakat al Ashoor Marine Services, of Basrah, Iraq. It is under South Korean flag and its “home port” is Wonsan. However, it seems to be in the Persian Gulf on “search and rescue” duty.
