  • Most of the items here date from after Sept 1951 when London Transport took over from Eastern National services in Tilbury. The oldest item July 1949(bottom left) show an Eastern National bus on route 37A which only ran between Tilbury Ferry and Grays.the single fare was 5 old pence.  The fare from the Stephenson Avenue stop to Grays was 3 old pence.until London Transport took over and the fares rocketted.
