Crane jib collapses!
These six photos show a floating pontoon on the Thames Estuary near Tilbury riverside.
The first couple show a normal crane that has been driven on to the pontoon and it is unknown why the crane jib collapsed.
As you can see from the last three photos there are some men in swimming trunks about to dive in and see the damage that has been caused.
We think these photos are from the late 1960’s to 1970’s from the style of clothes and hair. It seems that health and safety was not an issue at this time!!
