Four Tilbury Residents lost in torpedo attack

The Friends of Thurrock Museum - Thurrock in the First World War have posted on their Facebook page a short newspaper report from the Chelmsford Chronicle of the deaths of four Tilbury residents when the SS Minneapolis was torpedoed in the Mediterranean on March 23rd 1916.

The newspaper reports a planned meeting at the Tilbury Hotel to establish a relief fund.
